Greetings all!
« on: September 04, 2011, 12:38:15 AM »
Hello All!

I'm a fan from back when the Gameboy Color was a must for your Red/Blue dating myself at 24 now. I'm a graphic designer and have done some research during my college days on independent gaming and while this project does interest me from a social/academic perspective my reason for actually joining the community was simple. I've loved the concept of the Pokemon series since day one and want to be a part of this project. Like many others I'll be joining in come December but if there is anything I could do in the meantime be it as a test or maybe graphically I would be more than happy to get involved. Conceptually I think the devs have this game going in a truly unique direction (from the various other Pokemon MMOs) and see good things to come of it.

Cheers all!
- Spad

Welcome!

You say you may be able to help graphically.  Are you able to make pixel sprites from scratch? Or maybe vector sprites?

I've made a few in the past for course work. The last time I really pushed to make a few was about two years ago working on a MUGEN character. What did you have in mind?

Hi there Spadra! Welcome to PU! :)

Indeed, I think that if you have the capabilities to make decent sprites, you'll be able to help the art section of the game a lot. What is specifically required right now are trainer sprites (see the screenshots to see what would they look like), tiles, pokemon sprites, battle sprites (front and back). That's about it basically. :)
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Currently playing Pokemon XY/ORAS/Shuffle and Clash of Clans and testing out PokemonRevolutionOnline and Dragonmon Hunter....
Also, forum notification emails are not getting in my inbox... again...
