Finally! The Stration Gym.

Martha walked into a resturant instead of what she thought was a gym. Looking dumbfounded, she walked over to a waiter with red hair.

Excuse me. Do you know where I can find the gym leader?

The waiter smiled and looked at her.

You're looking at one.

Then i challange you to a gym battle.

I accept. The name's Chili.

Mine's Martha.

They headed down to the gym arena, where Cilian was the referee.

"Pansage, use Fury Swipes!"
"Herdier use Take Down!"
When Pansage was close enough, Herdier used take down before Pansage could use Fury swipes. Herdier took a little bit of damage from the attack.
My pokemon are going to have to stay their distance
"Pansage, use Leech Seed!"
Herdier was hit by leech seed. It was slowly draining Herdier's HP and restoring Pansage's.
"Herdier, use Take Down, and then use Bite!"
The two attacks were enough to KO Pansage. Soren sent out Litwick this time. He hoped that if he could poison Herdier, he could drain enough of it's HP to faint it with a couple of attacks.

[Mr. Fox]

this is bad... his litwick is weak to dark and her pokemon has bite! what is he going to do?

"Litwick, use smog!"
The attack poisoned Herdier.
"Herdier, use bite!"
"Dodge and use Flame Burst!"
Herdier took damage from poison and from Leech Seed, and then took damage from Flame Burst. The damage from Litwick's attack, the damage from poison, and Leech Seed was almost enough to make Herdier faint.
"Herdier, use Bite!"
Bite did a lot of damage to Litwick, but wasn't enough to make Litwick faint.
"Litwick, use Flame Burst!"
Herdier fainted from Litwick's attack. Lenora sent out Watchog.

Sky woke up once again to a blistering hot day in Sootopolis city. I brushed across my curtains and light came streaming in, from the sun bleeding over the mountains.

I sat down on at my desk reading once again Proffesor Arch's pokemon Journal he had given me.

I was fascinated by pokemon. It saddened me that I knew everything about pokemon in the Hoenn region but had only seen very few, since I was trapped in Sootopolis city my entire life.

Since the heat wave, all the bird pokemon migrated to Kanto, preventing anyone from leaving Sootopolis. 

My Nosepass opened the door and stumbled into my room.

Hey there Nosepass! How are you this morning?

Nose...Pass!

One day we will leave this place Nosepass. Dont know how dont know when, but we will go and explore the world together!

Nosepass!

Go! Lillipup!

Zorua, you're up first.

Zorua jumped onto the battlefield.

Tackle!

Pursuit!

When the pokemon collided, they rebounded off each other.

Faint Attack!

Zorua turned invisible.

Use Odor Sleuth to pinpoint it!

Doing as it was told, it found Zorua.

Work up, then Tackle!

Lillipup looked like it got stronger. Then it tackle almost made Zorua hit the wall.

Darn. Zorua, you alright?

He stood up looking pretty mad at the Lillipup. It looked pretty frightened afterwards. Zorua learned Scary face!

Lillipup, return!

Not so fast. Zorua, Pursuit!

Zorua instantly hit Lillipup with twice the force, making him faint.

Forgot about that. All right, Pansear! Flamethrower!

An intense burst of flames and heat sped towards Zorua. Before he could move, the flames engulfed him. When the flamethrower ended, Zoura was burning still.

Zorua, use the flames to your advantage. Fury Swipes!

Hit 'em with flamethrower once more!

Dodge it!

Zorua barely dodge the flames and clawed at the Pansear only three times before it fainted from burn.

I must say, your Zorua has nice endurance. But play time's over.

For one of us. Snivy, it's showtime!

A grass type. Flamethrower!

Dodge and use Wrap!

Snivy slithered around it and wrapped itself around Pansear.

Lick!

Use Vine Whip to catch its tongue!

Instead of using Vine Whip, Snivy unwrapped itself and began glowing, becoming taller.

Snivy, you evolved!

Servine!

Servine started to spin on its head, and its tail stirred up a twister of leaves. the twiste sucked Pansear into it and spun rapidly, finally slamming it into the ground with so much force that when Pansear stood up, it couldn't see that well.

Awesome! Leaf Tornado! Now to show off your speed. Wrap it up with Tackle!

Flamethrower, 6:00!

Servine was taking damage while it was running, but it didn't stop. It actually made a hole in the flamethrower and was going faster. A glow appeared in the flames. Servine was using its ability, Overgrow! It finally reached Pansear while still using tackle. Doing a lot of damage, Pansear fainted.

Woah. Didn't see that coming. Well, here's the Trio Badge.

Thank you. Now I have only 17 more battles to go.

She left the gym in a hurry to get to the pokemon center.

Jerry healed his pokemon at the pokecentre then did a stroll around the city. He found the City Gym in the east portion of the city, the PokeMusical Hall and two more halls holding sports events in the northern part of the city and a closed Train Station. Next to the City Gym was a huge wheel. And there seemed to be commotion there.

The one in the middle seemed strangely familiar. It was N!

- Hm... so we meet again Jerry. Since you are here, I guess that you got your third badge... you're a good trainer you know, but to be sure of that, let's have a little battle, would you?
- I can see that you're still causing trouble around you... I won't refuse a little match to teach you a lesson.
- Sandile go!
- Ok, if it's like that... Sandile go! Mud Slap!
- Dodge and use Bite!

N's Sandile tried to dodge, but got hit in the face and missed its attack.

- Sand Tomb!
- Assurance!

As Jerry's Sandile trapped that of N, the latter hit the former with Assurance, but it was not very effective.

- Good, now follow up with Swagger!

N's Sandile got confused and hit itself, and by the toll of Sand Tomb fainted. As it did, Jerry's Sandile's attack got boosted.

- Okay, good battle. Scraggy, win or else...

Me and Nosepass walked down to the Lake at the bottom of the town.

It had always been my favourite part of the city, The sun gleaming off the surface of the lake.

Nosepass sat under an Evergreen tree relaxing in shade under the overwhelming heat. He closed his eyes drifting into sleep. I walked to the waters edge where I spotted a Happy face swimming just below the surface.

Whaa?!

I said aloud confused as what it was.

Of cource!

I flicked through my Pokemon book Prof. Arch had given me. Till I reached the sea Pokemon chapter.

Mantyke. A friendly Pokemon that captures the subtle flows of seawater using its antennae. But that cant make sense. Mantyke is a Sea Water Pokemon. That could only mean... This isnt a lake! Its an ocean! There must be an exit out of Sootopolis through the bottom of the mountain!

Harley woke up on a sunny monday morning.

It's time to start my Pokemon adventure! I have just turned 10 so I'm aloud! YIPPE!

Harley goes down stairs and speaks to his mum.

This is where the adventure begins in the Unova region!

I ran home and grabbed a net. We had no Pokeballs in Sootopolis city since the rest of the world have forgotten about our isolated little island.

I came to the Waters edge where the Mantyke was drifting around peacefully in the water.

I readied my net to catch it.

I cant do it! This Mantyke dosent deserve it. I suppose ill just be stuck here forever.

I felt my eyes well up with tears of despair. Yet, at that moment the Mantyke popped his head out the water watching me.

Mantkye!

A..Ar...Are you calling to me?!

The Mantyke nodded.

REALLY! Thank you Mantyke thank you so much!

I ran home to get some supplies and cover my items in Clingfilm. What ever waited for me in the outside world, I would need to be prepeared for it.

I grinned to myself as I put my Berries, books and other items into my rucksack before smothering it in waterproof layers.

Who's Pathetic now mum?

I said to myself smugly before setting off back to the Lake edge. Nosepass was still sleeping under the Evergreen tree.

I nudged him gently

I run up to Cacnea and pick him up and carry him to a Pokemon center

I climbed into the water hugging Nosepass tight to me.

Hole on to me Nosepass. Hold your breath for as long as you can. Boy your getting heavy these days.. Ok Mantkye! Were ready!

I held on to Mantykes tail as he dragged us underwater. I could feel my ears popping as we swam deeper and deeper, clinging onto Nosepass as if we were stuck together. Although the Saltwater brunt my eyes I could see the cave at the bottom of the seabed.

I felt a burst of Joy as we passed through the pitch black cave onto the other side.

I heard my voice echoing inside my head

Im out atlast! Im out of Sootopolis!

I was beggining to feel short of breath as we were nearing the surface. We broke the surface of the water taking humoungous gulps of air. Mantyke swam us over to a nearby Buoy which me and Nosepass clambered upon soaking wet from head to toe.

I felt the afternoon breeze on my face, I was free. Like a bird who had escaped from its cage.

*BWAAAAAAAAA*

I turned around to find a boat honking at us.

Over here !

Me and Nosepass waving Frantically at the boat.

The boat accelerated towards us pulling up alongside the Buoy. A blond haired man emerged from the top of the front of the boat.

Hello there! What are you doing out in the middle of the ocean?!

W..We just escaped Sootopolis city..

Sootopolis!? So the myth is true... Well anyway, we cant have you out here then can we. Hop aboard!

Me and Nosepass began to board Laz's boat.

I turned around ashamed I had forgotten to thank Mantyke

Haha. Sky, Mantyke is a water and flying type pokemon. He can breathe air, he just prefers water. Im afraid I dont have any Pokeballs now but ill buy you some when we get there.

He said as he grabbed a 6ft glass tank and began to fill it with water.

I felt an urge of excitement and adventure that I was going to see the outside world.

I placed Mantyke in the tank and he started swimming around happily.

Mantyke was still happily swimming around in his tank.

I rubbed my eyes waking up from a deep sleep, my Nosepass snuggled beside me also getting to his feet.

Mantkye flew out of his tank as me and Nosepass emerged onto the upper deck. I gasped at the sight before me. A huge city with buildings the size of Wailords were in the distance.

How is it possible for men to build such things!?

You really have been living under a rock mate!

Laz commented jokily.

He arrived in the harbour and moored the boat.

Me and Nosepass grinned at eachother exitedly. Ready to take our first steps into Unova. Mantyke was gliding ovehead. It was odd to see a Mantaray Pokemon flying over head, but still verry impressive.

It was really good to have Mantyke as another companion as well as my best friend Nosepass.

We stepped onto land when there was a big blue building standing infront of us.

P..po...Poke..m.mart?

I spelt out intreaged.

I could spot someone in a Cacturne costume exiting the building with a Cacnea on his shoulder.

Running towards him I asked nervously

Um.. E... Excuse me! What is this building?
