The weakest pokemon
« on: July 01, 2010, 10:07:43 PM »

Before you send in an answer consider this, they remain the Pokemon they are (No Evolving)

Also, by "weakest" it also means "low attack" a little more than the other stats
The terrifying transformation...

Eh well, stat wise Sunkern is the weakest isn't it? But when it comes down just to a terrible move pool, yeah, I guess Magikarp wins that one. One move that does absolutely nothing, and Tackle. Not what you're going to win a battle with, especially considering its stats are horrible too, and Swift Swim downright fails in that situation.

hmmm you are right I just looked it up and got this

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_weakest_pokemon_in_the_world

magic does have a higher stat avg than sunkern by 20, but sunkern can learn more powerful moves. I learned something new today, thanks for calling me out on that info :-p

Farfetch'd. It never evolves and doesn't have a particularly impressive move set. That would be fine if it's stats weren't...meh.

Difficult choice between Sunkern and Magikarp. I will say Magikarp, though, because of splash...  Please.

Though Sunkern has the lower stats, I'm going to have tyo give it to magikarp for having absolutely no chance of being cometent in a battle.

At least with a Sunkern you can get a couple of super effective hits in before you flop over uselessly
The thrill in playing a game does not come from our chances of winning. It is the weight and pressure of losing that fuels our fascination. It is why people challenge, why they gamble and why they compete. The adrenaline that comes from defying defeat is what motivates us.

In that video, the guy just kept buffing magikarp's stats and magikarp was 41 levels higher than the 1 pokemon, and he was still getting ****ed up.

so i hope you know that you did not defend magikarp at all, you just futher proven he is the weakest

and Flail, which has value, if you keep it from evolving, at Lv 30, it learns Flail.

You dont wanna rely on that either.

I put Caterpie... with only Tackle and String Shot... It doesn't get far...

Even the Flail of Magikarp (if you allow it to get that), can be a quite 'powerful move'
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Flail is a move that is stronger with less Hp, If you rely on that only, Magikarp doesnt last long.

I know, but say Caterpie against Magikarp. With each subsequent flail from Magikarp, and each subsequent tackle from Caterpie, you'll see Caterpie's HP going down more each turn.

Say tackle takes 5 HP/turn, and flail starts at 1 HP, then 2, then 3, then 5, etc.

Setting us a simple equation;
y = 5x
y = x(x+1)/2

Solving for y, you get y = 9. Which means if after 9 turns Caterpie hasn't taken Magikarp down, Magikarp will take Caterpie down. Of course, this is only a simulation.
