Type Advantages/Disadvantages
« on: July 05, 2010, 01:01:18 AM »
Everyone knows about the Spiritomb/Sableye/wonder guards, but what pokemon do you find to have very few weaknesses, but at the same time, useful enough to use in your party?

Like a kingdra or a scizor, for example; only one weakness to a single type, but also have above average base stats to back them up.

Have you found anything similar to these?
The thrill in playing a game does not come from our chances of winning. It is the weight and pressure of losing that fuels our fascination. It is why people challenge, why they gamble and why they compete. The adrenaline that comes from defying defeat is what motivates us.

My Glaceon is ICE so its only weaknesses are Fire, Steel, and Fighting.

It has Blizzard, a power move, and Signal Beam, for Psy types

Not even level 80, it has 215 Defense, 240 Sp.Atk, and 171 Sp.Def.
By loving so many, I have touched their lives and helped them rebirth as well. To be strong is to instill strength in another.

Oh, Bug is strong on Dark too, though bug moves aren't that common in competitive play.

Yeah, except on forretress, scizor, heracross, Signal Beam, and Yanmega

Lol, yeah, I know :D

Interesting combinations:
Psychic/Grass (eg. Celebi) - 7 weaknesses (Fire, Flying, Ghost, Dark, Poison, Ice, Bug)
Psychic/Rock (eg. Lunatone/Solrock) - 7 weaknesses (Grass, Water, Ghost, Dark, Ground (if gravity is in play), Bug, Steel)

The two combinations I found with 7 weaknesses. There are none I found with more than that.
