Magnet Train?

As helpful as Fly is, what would be really nice is some mode of transportation that can help you get across the map before you obtain Fly. Will there be anything like the Magnet Train from Gold and Silver, or the boat in Ruby and Sapphire?

Well, since both bikes/other transportation items and Fly will have a 'use' range that is depleted with use, and not all towns are accesible with fly, and this game is going to be taking place on multiple islands, I'm nearly positive that at least a boat will be implemented.

On one of the screenshots there was a plane.. I'm sure it's not just there for good looks. But you would obviously have to pay for transportation, not just randomly hijacking any boat or something and taking a ride.

i think it would be good to pays something for such transport and i think its not good if everybody can go to each place at the beginning with such transports.

We will probably have to pay for some transports, we'll probably get tickets trough qests for others.
But I think there will be many transports in PU, since it teakes place in a large world.

In brief, so far we have:
Bike: Most certainly (if yes, with stamina bar, most probably)
Ship: Yes
Skateboards, scooter, cars and a mechanical bull-ride: No

Well, I thought it was more discussed than this at that time.. bah, anyway, everything is still being developed.

There have been several discussions about this matter, and nothing is certain yet. I have planned for the second island to have a magnet train, and an area where you can fly. Wether it will be implemented, is another case.

LOL to mechanical bullride, but if trains and planes and stuff are in, would you make it so you can see them move. Like say you were going down a route and there are train tracks by it, if someone used the train you could be able to see the train travel. Same with a plane, your walking on a route and you could see it fly overhead. I think it would make the game more lively, but then it could be time consuming, who knows.

Remember that we are talking about the IF this happens, and still I say no.
The best you could probably hope for, is regularly scheduled times to see the train in motion...or something like that.

I never really understood why the Magnet Train was even there. By the time you can actually use it, you can go literally anywhere in the game with a maximum of 2 consecutive flies, while Magnet train took just as long and only brought you to either Goldenrod or Saffron.

If the train is realised, it will NOT give you the ability to travel all over the PU world, but only between two cities on the second island, so that you don't have to walk through the eternity forrest every time...
