Hm, then maybe with their own speeds, comes different stamina limits. Err--like the bike can go faster, but it takes stamina away faster. The running shoes are the slowest, but they last longer.
Of course that really wouldn't make sense in real life.

It's more like the other way around. You'll get tired a lot faster when running then when you're on a bike.

Yeah, after I posted I was like, 'wait'....

My thought pattern at the time:

Bikes are faster=More stamina lost

Running tends to be slower=Less stamina lost

I thought that this area had already been discussed a little... ???

That was on the topic of exchanging the standard bike for a snowmobile--I think.

This topic focuses more on lighter means of transportation.

Ok, I guess that is another section of the topic about transportation.

Another aspect of the light means of transportation is that they are environmental friendly in the games (except for the Kanto games and Johto regions where we had bikers). So, I guess skateboard, rollers should be fine... or electric scooter ;)

So end this endless discussion about the subject already having a thread. I changed the topic to:
The BIG transportation topic (bikes, skateboards, etc..)

This topic can be used to discuss all kinds of transportation now.

Hmm, just a thought, but perhaps you will only be able to use the HM Fly to fly between the main cities of different islands (after you have visited them)? And on the island you use bike, shoes etc. to get around?

I realize someone asked about riding a pokemon earlier and though it would be fun its not realistic because of limitations and such. That got me thinking possibly later when tournaments and special events get figured out maybe a prize like a mechanical rapidash where it looks like a rapidash but its an item. Now for obvious reasons there should be a poll to maybe choose 3 or for 4 types of mechanical pokemon and keep them as extremely rare prizes. I like the stamina concept and I hope to hear more details on it.
It's time, you know the time, the time for the thing.

About FLY, might be a nice idea you can only fly between big city's so you still have to walk to reach certain towns and city's.
