First question: You put what you want to say about yourself, it's completely up to you.
Second question: The game was built from bits and pieces and it was recently re-written in a language called Go. The game development still requires a lot of pixel/vector artists for the sprites/tiles. There's been an open beta lately showing the latest appearance of the game.
Third question: "had" friends? The best way to "get" friends is to be around and get know people, maybe join IRC (click 'Chat Now' at the top of the page under the link 'Chat'). There's also the 'Chit Chat Thread' that I made and which is in the 'Other Chat' section of the forum.
