All Pokémon are great. The balance team is trying to make it so that the wins will be entirely because of a trainer's skills and how they use their Pokémon, instead of a Pokémon being too overpowering. So if you had Pokémons you liked but didn't want to use because they were lagging behind the others, you probably won't have that problem.

Otherwise just from the top of my head I suggest Absol for Dark, and Dusknoir for Ghost.
It's ghost dammit, GHOST!

It depends if you are looking at defense or offense. I consider myself a Dark-type master, and am very familiar with the stats of all dark type pokemon.

Defensively, I would recommend either Umbreon or Tyranitar.

Offensively, I would recommend either Weavile or Honchkrow.

Spiritomb is good if you don't care about speed. It also has no weaknesses, so sometimes it doesn't matter if it goes last.

As far as the Ghost type is concerned, I'm not sure. My job as a Dark specialist is simply to crush them.  :)

I almost forgot to mention that Tyranitar's offensive stats are much better than Umbreon's, although Umbreon has more speed. (Both of these pokemon are slower than many other dark types)

Actually, it all comes down to what you want the pokemon to do.

If you want to surprise your opponent and deliver some good hits before he realise what he's up to, Zoroark is your choice. Though it has some feeble defense.

If you want to just sweep and deal massive damage one after the other, Tyranitar is your choice. Also, even though it has a double weakness to fighting, it gets it's special defense boosted during sandstorm since it's also rock-type. So it usually can take a couple of hits before leaving the field.
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

It's opinionated.. I'm not going to say which is better though..

Exactly, it very depends on what the trainer likes better.
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
