Again, Amphy I agree with your idea xD, I can't seem to disagree with any of your posts ive read so far.

Possibly shadow pokemon you could only obtain from quests, and/or NPC battles.

not exactly how one would go about obtaining them, i think it would have to be something like the following; the player would obtain a quest to get the "job" poke-purifier, after they complete that quest the player would then proceed to get another quest and it would pretty much become a huge quest chain that would go into the higher levels of your pokemon team and maybe beyond, also in order to move onto the next quest the player would have to actually purify the prerequisite pokemon, or defeat the shadow pokemon, whether it be wild, or npc owned.

Sounds good, as long as when pokemon remain dark they generally dont listen to commands, otherwise theywould get a huge advantage and new trainers will attempt to leave that one super-powered pokemon in their team.

But the quest chasin goes into higher levels, remember? You can't be a new trainer and get a pokemon that only comes from a level 60-70 quest.

You know, dark is such a harsh word for these pokemon. I think they want to be un-dark, but we just automatically assume they are evil and don't give them a chance to change. I think we should call them "Misunderstood Pokemon" instead.
I like slowpoke.

Or we just change it to something a little like in Pokemon Ranger Shadows of Almia where the 'bad people' are controlling the pokemon using some device.

Then, you try to 'purify' them from the harm the device put in them gradually.
No one can go back and change a bad beginning; but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.
If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it. If it cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

Or you could stop thinking the word 'dark' means evil. Seriously. Is a black belt in Judo evil because his belt is a dark color? No. Is a black lab evil because its fur is black? No, they're actually the best dogs out there.

Let's be honest, the name 'dark' is not a good idea anyways because of the type...
I still fail to see the point of this though, we already have shiny pokemon, why add more of a different colour?

Me neither... there are enough pokemon to collect, why look for more collection if the idea is for collection?

The balance team is here to make sure every pokemon has the same pros and cons, adding overpowered pokemon would ruin their work!

well, the dark ball is a legit pokeball
so if the dark ball and masterball are implemented into the game i think they should cost a fortune
like 500k/1m because dark ball gives a pokemon max stats and a masterball catches any pokemon without discussion lmao.
