I have Played Every Gen.
I dont Remember There Being Dark Pokes in:
R/B/Y
GSC
RSE
DPPt
Or anything other than, Gale of Darkness/Colosseum

You can find 6 or 7 Dark Balls in Pokemo Crystal, and maybe G/S unsure. Anyway it makes them Dark. The most famous is Dark Tyranitar like in Celebi the voice of the forest.

Dark balls don't make pokemon dark. They make it more likely to catch a pokemon IN the dark.

Thats Dusk Balls, and they only Appeared in Gen IV.

Im still Skeptic, Show Proof Of Dark Balls?

Am I a ghost or a man? Or a man-ghost offspring that come from mi father's inexplicable penetration of mi mother's ghostly woman parts? Or am I a child imitating a man's ability to change into a ghostly form in order to preserve mi appellation?

The problem are certanly pokemon sprites. It would take forever to make all pokemon dark, even so, as far as it's known from 4th movie, catching pokemon in a dark ball, is considered as evil. I wouldn't do it.
Maybe there could be a qest including some evil guy capturing pokemon in dark balls (that would be only a few or only one) and you would have to rescu them...

As long as the only difference is colour, I can't see it being too hard. It would just be a matter of changing the pallete.
But, I don't really see the point of adding these in on top of shinies.

The point is that it would bring a bigger variety for players to catch. One trainer could focus on only catching shinies, and another dark.

Like in PokemonCrater? To be honest (don't take it offensively), I didn't really got the point of having 4 different types of each pokemon. There are already 493 (without counting the variations of pokemon like Rotoms forms and Burmy forms) and more are being introduced soon. Remove the legendaries, this will be 450+ pokemon and now add the Gen V when they will be introduced... that's an awful lot. I'm not against effort, but I don't really see the point of having pokemon with different colours as if they were needed.

IMO

I don't see the point either.  So you change there color so they look more evilish, but can they like learn different attacks? Or maybe different abilities? Like if you have a dark Pikachu can it learn dark pulse or something.

I see what you guys are saying. But yeah, there is already a whole lot of Pokemon. It's just something to think about.

I don't really care for having an alternate to shiny pokemon, but since we already have a Dark type, they'd need to be called something other than Dark. Like corrupt or something.

There is only shiny pokemon apart from normal pokemon in PU.
